Baggage Car - Daily Chat / I need some help finding a replacement tool
« on: November 01, 2019, 07:53:32 PM »
I spent about an hour today looking for my nail head tool - it was under my workbench. :-[  It is the pounce wheel shown in the picture below. I like it because it makes very small - 2 per board on HO scale clapboard nail holes.  Having it missing made me realize that I should buy another one. I took this picture which shows the manufacturer as RB Productions - I believe this is company is in Ireland. Someone was selling this tool here in the States but I can't remember who I bought it from. I found one European Hobby shop that sold them but they are out of stock. Can anyone help me find one to purchase or remember who sold these?   The tool fits in an exacto knife handle and comes with more than one size wheel.  I found the .75 mm wheel to be the right size for HO.

Good morning! It's Monday again. We have been having evening Thunderstorms here the past few nights - I have been riding them out in the gazebo - I really enjoy it as long as there isn't too much wind. I'm spending the day wiring - except for mowing the lawn and those usual outside chores.  I hope everyone has a great day.

Welcome to Volume 3 of the Superior & Seattle Railroad Build Thread. Volume 2 was getting close to the 200 page limit so I decided to start volume 3.

Good morning.  The sun is coming up and it's beautiful on the Manistee River in Michigan. I just thought I would see if I got a signal and ended up opening. I'm fishing below high bridge where the PM railroad used to cross the river.  I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning!  The sun is shining here - what a welcomed sight.  My day is going to be split between the layout and some time in the yard.  I may just work in the gazebo this afternoon - great place to assemble the control panel for the new section of the layout.  I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning! It's time to get up and get started on your modeling. At least for those of us that have put in our 30 - 40 years working in the 1:1 world. I'm going to be building benchwork today.  It looks like I can spend the day in the garage cutting lumber.  The rest of the week sounds like it will be a washout and cold to go along with it. At least we put together a string of three very nice sunny warm days.  I hope everyone has a great day.

Update:  Our rain arrived 7 hours earlier than predicted on the weather channel.  I guess it was more important to update the adds than the forecast.  I guess we need to look at the radar ourselves and forget about their written forecast. Just sayin.

Good morning! We are finally having some beautiful weather 70's and sunny here yesterday and today. Is it safe to take the plow off the tractor? I'm spending the next couple of days watching the Grandkids taking advantage of the spring weather. I hope everyone has a great day.
