Chilly, but sunny in SE PA. 120 days to go. All kind of build up for some snow around here, but last night, they pulled back on that and nothing happened.

Enjoy the day, everyone. Came out of mass this morning and NS was blowing the horn approaching Black Rock tunnel (down the hill from the church).

Hitting 60 today in SE PA. Other shoe dropping by Thanksgiving.
No milestones in the countdown today, but I do get stitches out from the Mohs on the Nose procedure.

70 work days remain now.
Medical visits finished this week (dentist, Mohs procedure, MRI/ankle). Trying to get myself fixed before work insurance disappears next year.
No ops this weekend.

Took some time off. Heading to the DDS shortly to get drilled.
Some progress in the layout area. Moved shelving a few feet so allow the layout to move with it and widen the aisle between the legs (U-shaped).

Good morning.
It looks a lot like winter here, too. No hunting or fishing on my schedule, though I am also working on layout design. I've been struggling to squeeze an interchange and small yard into an 18" deep space. I think I have it finally figured out, but it leaves no room for scenery. Operation or scenery? Decisions, decisions.
JB: I've found if you're focused on operating the train, the scenery, or lack thereof, is not noticed.

Not knowing where you are, there's something later this month in Lancaster, PA called Brass Expo and Custon Crafted Models on Nov 23-24. The website is quite vague with zero details. I don't know if Jim and the crew are planning to be there or not.

Shows us even the best can err now and then. Nice recovery. Great that you shared the entire situation with us.

The layout is in N from what I can tell. The box car in the construction footage has Rapido couplers.

Pictured below is a random contest entry at the 2017 National Narrow Gauge Convention.
Later.

Even in diorama photos the poles get in the way.

November 1 and Sunday morning, back to standard time and earlier sunrise (for a while) and sunsets. Was down Florida way (Leesburg) earlier this week, unable though to contact any of the Florida members as I was tending to Mom. Don't see her that often, so wanted to make every minute count.
Countdown now at five months. And after today, only eleven more pay days.

Happy hump day!
5.5 months now, 24 weeks. Days go slow, weeks go fast somehow.
