Good morning.

Mark, I think you got off pretty easy with only 6" of the white stuff, unless it is still snowing...

Great modeling, Dan.  Love that Buick!

I'll be plowing out again this morning.  Luckily, I think my tractor can manage to get the job done.

Morning all,

Nice and sunny 42 here this morning. Good day to model. However, I'm still getting the new computer up and running with all my previous settings.

Have a great day ya'll.

Morning all.

Off for a couple of days after four somewhat brutal days at work.  Here more 1:1 jobs are pressing.  Painters will be painting the entryway and upstairs hall today.  I have to go to pick up the mattress for the Murphy bed along with some other errands.

We were in Montreal for a cat show, the most tiring time a person could possibly do. We tried to drive home on Sunday night (a 5 hours trip) but the main highway home was closed with a massive car crash involving 30-40 cars, 1 death and 30 non-fatal injuries with visits to ER.

We decided to say overnight in a hotel and drive home on Monday. This gave us an opportunity to see our daughter in Ottawa, a 2 hour detour. After all said and done we ended up driving 7+ hours home. We arrived home to 10 inches of fresh snow and thinking of ways of avoiding shoveling it. I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.

So today it is time to tackle the white beast and crash from exhaustion.

Morning all,

Another day in the old cubicle.  On the bright side this is my last five day week of the year.  I've got vacation days and, of course, holidays scattered throughout the rest of the weeks this year.   ;)

Just a few wires to solder together and I'm finished with Avram's.  Took a lot longer than I had hoped it would.  Next step will be to come up with a way to ship it to John without it getting damaged in transit.  Got a plan for that but need to do it on a day my wife's car isn't in the garage.  That'll be next week when I'm off on Monday but she has to go to work.   :D

Have a great one!

Bob, I have some stuff to ship to John, but I told him it would be after the holidays. I figure there would be less mail being thrown around so it will arrive undamaged.

In my part of SE NH, we got about as much from Round 2 as we got in Round 1, about 4-5".  It's still snowing, and we might get another inch or two, particularly if a squall blows through.  UNH classes are delayed until 11:00, 10 minutes before my class starts :-)

I'm making progress on 'Bisgeier Tool.'  Last night I sprayed the back of the walls dark grey, and started prepping the Tichy windows (removing them from sprues, etc.)

Good morning! I sure like the sounds of the shipping plans.  The S&S RR is going to be a busy place this winter. I'm really excited to see it start to fill in with all those wonderful details. It sure would be nice to see a convention next year where we could all get together. The Narrow Gauge convention is the only convention on the radar right now. The "big shows" don't work if you have to travel in the winter. Just sayin! I hope everyone has a great day - I'm heading into my winter den for some modeling. ;) ;D

Good Morning All,

Enjoying the coolish weather here. It will be 95 and miserable soon enough. I think I'm helping the wife clean the refrigerator today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Chilly, but sunny in SE PA.  120 days to go.  :D

All kind of build up for some snow around here, but last night, they pulled back on that and nothing happened.

No white stuff here but a damp cold 30F. What a way to celebrate your birthday,
we made a offer on a place near Springfield MO. So with luck will make some eastern shows
Get out of this tax hole of a state before it get evens worst.

Anyone sign up for the $1 year subscription to Model Railroad Academy from Allen Keller?

Jamie,

Where did you get the $1.00 deal? Website only shows $8.00 per month or $60.00 per year?

Just curious.

Good city.  Solid model railroad group (Ozarks Model Railroad Association).  Two decent shows a year (not like Timonium or Trainfest), but decent enough.  Winter weather can be iffy.  I don't think the city owns a snow plow.  For heavy snows they just shut everything down for a day or two until it melts away.
