Very exciting. This was waiting at my front door when I got home from work today (in a priority mail carton):

But, alas, it is a Christmas present and must stay in the shrink wrap until December 25.
This kit, plus Bandit's Roost, will anchor the other end of my layout. I have a spot picked out to build them side-by-side--both clinging to the top of a hill. I think they will go very well next to each other.
My plan is to start Bandit's Roost next week. It will take me until Christmas to finish, so, yeah, happy me.

Nice looking kit George!

Oh Yaaaaaaa :)
You should enjoy building the kit. It looks like a modified Preston Printers.
George,
Do you plan a blow by blow of the build on The Forum? Certainly would be nice.

Hi Horton,
Yes, I hope to begin with Bandit's Roost this week. I have a project to finish up over the weekend for Todd and Brett at HO Scale Customs, but should be ready to start the "big project" by Monday. Both Bandits Roost and Rust Rock Falls are huge kits, and together they will dominate one entire half of my layout.

Sweet! :D I'm really looking forward to following along on both builds and seeing how they look on you layout. ;)
Very cool, George.
I like the look of this kit a lot.
Cheers, Mark.
George,
Great news! Look forward to the steps you take.

The key is to build them as good as they look on the box.
