Morning all,

A friend of Erieman's is coming over at 11 this morning to visit the layout.

When he leaves i'll be back in the yard working on old dead grass removal.

Have a great day ya'll.

Afternoon all,

Been working in the yard up until 30 minutes ago. Couldn't do any more today. Pam and I are going out to get a salad at the regular Saturday watering hole.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day.

The main REA building is square and level.

Done for today.
#4
The next photo shows how much I messed up on the wall.

I used an HO scale 8X8 and glued it under the wall and between the two corner posts.

#5

The rear side wall was short. This was a measuring mistake on my part but was an easy fix.

#7
I set the warehouse to the side and glued the main REA structure walls together.

I used weights and metal squares to ensure the walls were square and held in place as the glue dried.

#8
The gabled end wall was painted to match the other walls.

I also made a final floor test fit prior to staining the floor.

#9
I also forgot to add an interior end wall. So that came next.

You can see in the next photo how the flooring runs across and not length wise.

#10
The flooring wasn't wide enough for the span. I decided to have the flooring run across the warehouse instead of length wise.

#11
I added several cross braces to support the warehouse flooring. Here is the first one, an 8X8.

Here is how the flooring will look.

Quote from: Bruce Oberleitner on March 21, 2024, 11:58:06 AMHi Uncle Tommy,
Just wanted to say HI and see how much "Diet Pepsi" was required for such a project.  Doing well here but just buried in household projects these days.  As always, your model and progress are outstanding!

Cousin Brucie,

Good to see you my friend. It has required a lot of Diet Pepsi to get this far. As you know, Diet Pepsi is my life's blood on any build.

I'll give you a call in the next few days.

Quote from: Vietnam Seabee on March 21, 2024, 07:58:49 AMTom....referring back to your statement about the time it takes to present a sbs build snd then have little or no response.....no excuse on my part other thsn being complacent ...so much to learn from your and others who present their work
Terry

Terry,

I guess I was complaining but it does require much time to post a detailed thread.

Thank you for the comment and for following along.

Outstanding modeling!  Your attention to detail shines in this thread, exactly like your others. Thanks for sharing this build.

Jerry,

Your kind and generous comments are appreciated. Thank you.
