One of the kits that had always had my attention and on my wish list was the Bar Mills Booty Corner, and finally this late fall I was able to shop around until I found one for sale to build this Winter with several other projects.  After it was built, I decided to give it some extra sidewalk, and an entire back alley of sorts.  It was definitely a fun kit to build, and I thought it would fit well in our world war 2 Americana era town.  All it needs now is some figures and for me to find a street corner to place it this next month!

I will try to find some of the step by step photos I took to add to it later!

Enjoy

Todd,
Very nice.  I really like all the sidewalk details, so much to see, great touch with the junk in the alley.

Hi Todd:

WOW!!!!!! You have done an absolutely beautiful job with this one. Blue is a very difficult color to use on a model structure but have nailed it. Keep up the good work and keep the photos coming on future projects.

Hi Todd,

I agree with everyone else here.  Terrific job on that one.  That's going to look great on your layout!   :D

Beautiful structure, Todd!

Your details are great.  Terrific looking build.  And that cornice is superb!

thank you everyone for the compliments, I have to tell you all in regards to the details stuff, It was one of those projects where you would add some detail to a corner, then stare at it and somewhere else it seemed empty or offset, so you would add there, and then you are having so much fun just building a scene that you throw your hands up in the air, say screw it, and just start digging in your misc. details box for things until you have to say "whoaaaaa!  time to stop!"    The cornice I used a minwax wood stain of mahogany on it, same with some of the store front trim, and it was easy to do, although it left me with woodstained fingers...lol.  The Blue color was tricky finding the right color blue to do it.....and then it looked "too blue" but I figured once weathered and showing paint peeling it should lighten it out a bit.  I used acrylic "true blue" by Folk Art, but you need to thin it down some.  Again, Thanks, I will add some shots of the build process later this weekend.
